Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and The Future of Mankind

In terms of functionality, the models and algorithms in artificial general intelligence are far more diverse. Their intelligence is several levels higher than that of AI tools. While this would considerably improve an algorithm’s performance and efficiency, it would not be the path to designing computers with awareness and their own individual human personalities. The halting problem is another issue with employing programs and code. Now that the technological side of things has been explored, the questions of ethics and supplanting people addressed. There are no two ways about it.

Artificial Intelligence will replace humans and minds in almost every sector in business activity. Because of this issue many individuals will be violently opposed to even considering deploying AGI. According to projections more than a billion of jobs will be lost due to automation of robots and AI. And that’s before we contemplate the rise of AGI which would merely exaggerate such statistics.
